Comes from a family with a 360-year history of making Hagi ware, Masahiro Sakakura has been honing his skills under his father’s guidance since 2011. He is fascinated by the connection between the soil and how it reflects the work, and he finds fulfillment in making ceramics that reference history, techniques and materials that has been passed down through generations.
